Research Description:
Environmental and management stressors to which livestock are exposed account for tremendous losses annually to livestock producers throughout the United States. In order to effectively manage livestock to eliminate or minimize the negative impact of stressors on performance and health, a thorough understanding of the biological responses to stressors, particularly stressors that are unique to the environments of farm animals, is essential to developing alternative management systems and (or) intervention strategies
